Welcome to Make Smarter Decisions!
I’m a middle-aged professor who has recently “downshifted” from full-time work. I’m putting my 25+ years of life experience as a wife, mom, student, teacher, administrator, landlord, and coach to work to help people make smarter decisions!
Thinking of changing careers or have you been recruited for a job? Debating when to retire? Contemplating going back to school (or have a teen figuring out what college to attend)? What about that question many like to debate – buy a house vs. rent? Should you renovate your home or upgrade to a new one? Sell an investment property – or buy one? Maybe you are looking to relocate to an area with a more reasonable cost of living? These are all incredibly important decisions and they are certainly ones with financial implications.
You’ll be interested in my blog if you want to learn more about how people make decisions (good and bad ones!) and ways to analyze all kinds of decision problems. I’ll focus on a practical method that can easily be used by everyone to make “smarter” life decisions.
Many people believe that you simply need to “learn from your mistakes” to make better decisions. I agree to a point, but I also think learning a better decision-making process earlier in life would have helped me to avoid making some very bad (and costly) decisions. I wonder how many of you feel the same way?
Want to get involved? Consider being a “case study” on a good or bad decision you have made in the past. I am also offering a limited number of free decision coaching sessions at this time for any dilemma you may have.
If you are interested in either option or if you have questions, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org If you have specific questions or suggestions for my blog, use the “Contact Me” link on the home page.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join in on the conversations!
