When we were at FinCon 2017, we met folks from Finder.com! What a great website! On their homepage, it says “Countless Comparisons for Better Decisions” – it’s like we were meant to find each other 😉 After we chatted, they asked if I’d be interested in providing a quote on one of their recent articles, America’s Biggest Money Mistakes (Hint – people really like to blow money on fun!) Check out the article to see different breakdowns (gender, age group) and what kind of money mistakes people most often make.
Last December, I revisited 8 goals that I set in August. I was really doing a terrible job with the goals and spent time reflecting on what I’ve done well with – and that was habits. Â My post – Giving Up My Goals to Focus on Habits was first shared by Steve at ThinkSaveRetire in his Friday feast. J$ and Cait from Rockstar Finance also shared the post. It was then picked up by Lifehacker too! This post has almost 25,000 views to date!
I was lucky to have the chance to answer 10 Questions over at 1500Days.com in November, 2016. He’s right that my blog is “money-ish” because many of the big decisions we make are related to money! Buying a house, choosing a college, starting a business, renting or leasing a car – you name it! If you haven’t checked out 1500days – I highly suggest you do. Some great posts about all things money – and pretty darn funny too!
In the summer of 2016, I wrote a post about decisions I made as a teenager that helped me become “rich” today! It was picked up and highlighted on Rockstar Finance! It was also published by Business Insider and altogether it has almost 50,000 views! You Need A Budget also featured this post in a YNAB Weekly Round-Up on 4/18/17!
Here is a link to my first “guest post” thanks to Sam at the Financial Samurai! Sam graciously allowed me to do a guest post for him after a comment I made on one of his blog posts. I’ve been a reader of his for years, and I highly encourage you to check out his site!
