I only recommend books, products, or services that I think you might be interested in. I have read the books and I use (or have used in the recent past) all of the products listed here. If you ever have questions about these, just let me know! If you click on the links, I may receive a small commission to support this site. Thank you in advance!
Thinking of Starting a Blog or Website? You’ll Need a Host (and after a hack, I needed to secure my site too!)
I won’t try to give you advice on how to set up your blog or use WordPress because that is NOT my area of expertise (and I won’t copy others’ posts on how to do that just to get an affiliate pay-out). What I will tell you is that there is a big difference in Customer Service with some hosting companies. I had SiteGround move my site to their service after my site was hacked. They were super helpful (even when I wasn’t their customer) and I highly recommend them! Check out SiteGround by clicking here or on the banner below.
And after the hack, I needed some serious cleaning up of some of the files on my site. My site had been infected by malware through a bad plug-in. As I said – the tech end of blogging is not my thing at all. Sucuri took care of it in a few hours and they’ve been protecting my blog ever since. Sucuri and SiteGround worked together to secure my site with an SSL certificate recently too! Now I have the “Green Lock” and my site is https now! Check out what Sucuri offers by clicking here or on the banner below.
And if you’re starting a website – you’ll probably need a logo! Maybe you are more talented than me and you can make your own! There is no way I could do that – or get everything sized for social media profiles. I used Fiverr for my logo and it was a great experience. $35 for everything – 3 logos designs to choose from, the social media kit, and business card design too! And it is copyrighted to me. Click here for more information! Also – I would highly recommend sana_kdesign as someone who creates nice logos!
Searching for a New Cell Phone Carrier?
We are using Republic Wireless right now, although we did have a challenging issue with them a few months back. Why would we stay? Because they sought feedback and made changes to their customer service! More changes that I could have imagined. They want to do it right, service is cheap and we like it! Check RW out by clicking here or on the banner below and don’t be afraid about things like losing your number. Email me with any questions too!
Have You Tried AirBNB Yet? If not, get $40* off your first stay!
It seems as if everyone has tried AirBNB, but we didn’t until late 2016! We just weren’t that comfortable with the idea of staying in someone else’s house when we were used to staying in a hotel (even though we don’t use hotels much!) Our first experience was in a “mother-in-law” type suite where we had our own entrance and facilities. On our trip to Colorado, we had our own bed/bath but shared the house space with a wonderful retired couple. It was a great experience (and we used the reviews to decide where to stay!) If you are ready to give AirBNB a try, click here to get $40 off your first stay (credit is subject to change, but the $40 is the credit as of 9/26/17.)
What if AirBNB isn’t your thing? We use Hotels.com to book many of our stays!
We’ve reserved hotels using Hotels.com 8 times this year! Two more nights and we’ll get a free night! See details at the Hotels.com website.
Financial and Wealth Management Software
We use Personal Capital and it is an outstanding product for our needs. We have used a similar product in the past and we were unable to link all of our accounts. Personal Capital offers a ton of free tools you can access with no commitment, including an amazing retirement fee analyzer, a net worth analysis, and goal tracker. There are also personal financial service providers available for a fee. It is definitely worth checking out. We’ve been logging in every few days just to check out the graphs and tools! Do You Use a Cash-Back Site for Online Purchases?
I use BeFrugal when we shop online. It offers Cash-Back for online purchases at over 5,000 stores and guarantees that it has the highest cash-back rates. BeFrugal features coupons and deals for over 50,000 stores, including all of the largest 500 online stores in the USA. These are the payments I’ve received this year and I have over $17 still to claim. That’s almost $180 since I joined in March of 2017 and we are not big shoppers! Click here or on the banner and you could earn a $10 sign-up bonus!

The Simple Path to Wealth – Book Recommendation
This is an excellent book by Jim Collins – just published in July 2016! I was lucky enough to be able to preview it. The Amazon links are tied to Jim’s site and will provide him a small commission if you purchase a book.
